Lawmakers Want Credit For Government Projects

Behold the faces of your local politicians! You will see them anywhere seeking an applause from the people! Just as expected, some politicians wants to see their own faces on billboards of governmetn projects.

There has been a reaction from the minority bloc of the House of Representatives on banning credits from government projects. My previous article about this ban is just a glimpse of what kind of political leaders we have.

We can clearly see the egoistic characters of these leaders. I don't buy their reasons about transparency. Project transparency can be shown in many ways aside from posting their names and faces on the projects.

Kakapal lang talaga ng mga politiko natin!!!

Here are some reasons why their faces should not appear in the projects.

  1. The project did not come from their own pockets!
  2. It is just normal that they will be doing projects, it's their job after all.
  3. The money they are using for the billboards also comes from the Filipino pockets.
  4. The loyalty of the Filipinos should be directed to the country and not to the politician.

Here's what I believe the reasons why they want to post their names and faces:

  1. FREE campaigning for the the next election. Who would take that out before election? It's not a campaign material as they claim. And please notice, many government projects only progresses a year before election period.
  2. Egoistic attitude. These politicians are egoistic. They want praises from men from what they are suppose to be doing normally.
  3. Cover up other frauds. Hmmm... this point is just a possibility though. You know what I mean... They need some fragrant appeasement to people so that people won't believe any accusations even if it was proven to be a fact.

It's time to pulse the masses. Do you like their faces and names appear on the billboards of government projects?

I totally agree with this write-up...it is so rampant in Cebu (Cebu City, Mandaue City and all parts of the province). Sometimes you feel that you owe them something because of these projects . But the money is taxpayers' money...
